How to use Audio Books for Bilingual Babies
Don’t you find that most self study language courses go so slowly it’s painful?
You study pronouns, adjectives, subjunctives and how to conjugate verbs. You learn lists of vocabulary, but never know how to fit an actual sentence around it all. The text you read and audios you listen to are too short. You are trying to learn to speak a language without really being exposed to that language.
Of course, if you were to watch a film or try to read a novel in another language you wouldn’t understand very much as a beginner.
The beauty of our Audio books for Bilingual Babies is that you are learning to use all that horrible grammar naturally, just as a child learns.
The stories are on average 1500 words. By listening and reading through a few times in each language you’ll quickly become familiar with any new words. Repeated listening with engrave those words in your memory, but most importantly, not only will you learn new words individually, but by knowing the story in your own language, whole sentence structures will make sense in the language you are learning. You’ll soon find that you’ve learned both simple and also some quite complicated grammatical structures without having to study them as grammar.
Audio Books for Bilingual Babies aren’t designed to replace traditional language courses. For babies and young children they create an exposure to the language, just as a child would have if they had a foreign au-pair telling them stories at bedtime. Babies and children can’t study a language in the way an older child or adult can. The only way for them to learn a second language is through systematic exposure to the language.
For older children and adults our stories also offer a level of exposure to the language that is difficult to come by without living in the country, And remember the story is always in your native language too, which helps you understand the story in both languages. They stories act as accelerators. By listening to our Bilingual stories your language learning will speed up dramatically… And all this while you relax!
Ideally, Audio Books for Bilingual Babies should be used from the first days of a child’s life. Whenever you put your baby down to sleep, play audio books for bilingual babies to them. They’ll be so grateful to you later!
Bilingual Little Ones
At bedtime:
As with Bilingual babies, let your Little Ones listen to the audio books whenever they are going to sleep. Your Little Ones can also look at the illustrations while listening to the story. Leave the audio playing on a low volume, even once they are sleeping.
During the day:
Your Little Ones can also listen to the audio stories while playing quietly at home or in the car.
If they wish, let your Little Ones look at the illustrations as they listen to the audio or as you read them the stories.
Help your Little Ones colour in the pictures in the colouring book, using the bilingual instructions. As you will have downloaded the story and the colouring book to your computer, you will be able to print them off as often as you like!
Bilingual Grown Ups
Follow the same routine as for Bilingual Little Ones, however, Grown Ups can read the story as they listen to the audio.
Go through the vocabulary list. Hide the English words or phases and see if you recognise the Spanish equivalents. Then see if you can then remember the Spanish words when looking at the English list. This is far more difficult, but in time you’ll learn the words. Soon you’ll see that you know the whole vocabulary list!
Note:
During our trials we found that audio books for bilingual babies were working as well for parents as they were for Babies and Little Ones. People were amazed! They couldn’t believe that learning a foreign language could be as simple as listening to their child’s bedtime story!

Method
Our Method is a simple but highly effective. Learn as a child learns!
In fact, it’s so simple you’d be forgiven for thinking…“That’ll never work!”
But it does!
Let us explain:
As children we didn’t learn to speak by studying grammar and reciting verbs. If we had, half of us would probably speak very badly! We spent the first few years of our lives absorbing the conversations going on around us. At about a year and a half we said our first words and by the age of three most of us were fluent. So why don’t we learn languages that quickly as adults? Could it be that the focus on grammar gets in the way?
The Easylinguistics method involves listening to our audio stories with relaxing music in both languages as often as possible.
The key is repetition. It is said that the average person needs to hear a word used in context several times before they begin using that word.
Our Bilingual stories play your native language first so you get to know the story well. This in turn helps you understand the version in the language you are learning.
Every time you listen, new words become clear to you in the new language. You learn both grammatical structures and new vocabulary naturally, by hearing it in context.
A little study of the text will quickly have you working out the meaning of the most important words, as will reading through the phrase / vocabulary lists.
The bilingual colouring book is for your little ones to use and enjoy. If they follow the instructions they will learn at the same time!
So basically, each Easylinguistics story is a home study language course that requires no studying!
An absolute beginner reading an Easylinguistics Bilingual Audio Book for the first time will be exposed to over a thousand new words… and they say that you can speak a language with ONLY 1000 words!
With repetitive listening to the audio and occasional revision of the phrase/ vocabulary lists, learning a thousand words won’t take too long. You’ll pick up the grammar along the way, as a child does, by hearing it in context. You might not be able to recite the verb old school style, but you will be able to use it!
For those of you who already have a certain level of the language you are learning, our stories act as accelerators. You’ll stop feeling like you’re stuck in second gear!
Easylinguistics Bilingual Audio Books are the perfect way to:
- introduce you and your little ones to a new language
- improve grammar and vocabulary
- enhance, accelerate and accompany any other method of study you are using to
learn a new language
!Vamos, anímate! ¡Es fácil aprender idiomas con Easylinguistics!

Who can use our stories to learn a language?
Babies:
Let your babies listen as often as possible to the stories. They are listening to everything you say to them in your native language so why not let them hear another language too? It will help them in the future when it’s time to start learning and speaking this second language.
Don’t you wish your parents had done something like this for you?
And don’t forget the accompanying music to our stories may also help your baby relax and sleep!

Little Ones:
Is your child learning a second language at school? Extra exposure to the language outside the classroom will be highly beneficial. Their teacher will be pleased with the results and your child will be more confident in using the language.
Grown Ups:
So many of us get bogged down by grammar when trying to learn a foreign language. This often causes a mental block and we begin to believe we’re not good at languages. Our method allows you exposure to the language in a natural way, taking the stress out of language learning.
If you are taking a language course or language home study course, then our stories will really make to the difference to your general understanding of the language. You’ll build vocabulary and more importantly, see and hear grammatical structures, verb tenses etc used in context. This will give you the confidence to use these structures yourself. You’ll have heard them so many times that they will eventually come naturally to you.

Insomniacs:
Are you lying there at night wishing you could just go to sleep? Playing the day through your head? Worrying about tomorrow? The accompanying music to our stories has been composed with the aim of helping the listener relax, so why not let our bilingual stories play in the background and learn a language while you drift off!
